VIE Healthcare

PRESS RELEASE

Hospital research study to be announced

The pressures and expectations of healthcare are driving the industry to become more focused, cost-conscious and creative. Leaders and employees must be challenged to use their creative energy to combat the ineffective costs of the health care industry.

VIE Healthcare is beginning a research study on Innovation and Creativity in Health Care.

The challenges and demands that face senior health care leaders are creating a need for looking at other industries and how they reacted and succeeded in the face of their own challenges. The automotive industry faced some serious challenges in the 1970’s with Japanese competition and the U.S. industry was forced to look at innovation and creativity as a way to recover, excel and compete under the new market conditions.

This research study is “The Role of Innovation & Creativity in Health Care.” It will demonstrate that there can be remarkable results in service, quality, patient satisfaction, and in various operational and financial measures where a culture of innovation and creativity are understood, created and maintained.

Healthcare organizations will prosper in the coming century with developing and exploiting the creativity and innovation of its people. Creative thinking approaches beyond simple brainstorming have much to offer healthcare and should be an integral part of the training in the organization.

We are looking for five hospitals to participate in this ground-breaking study. The benefits to your organization will be a unique opportunity to obtain the results of a focus on creativity and innovation such as –
1. Service, Quality & Patient Care Improvement
2. Cost Savings Ideas
3. Revenue Improvement Ideas
4. Employee Motivation, Trust & Loyalty

Innovative ideas can come from anyone in the healthcare workforce and the organization can provide training for creative thinking that will then lead into ideas in clinical, business, delivery process improvements, cost savings, and revenue improvements.

The main point of this study is to prove that tapping into the creativity inherent in the health care workforce and maintaining a constant focus on innovation as one of the core competencies will drive a culture of high performance.

There is no-cost to participate in this research and it will require minimum planning yet yield tremendous financial and operational results as in other industries. This is an opportunity to have your organization be on the fore-front of health care research using proven principles that have given other industries the competitive advantage it needed to succeed in challenging times.

We are looking to begin research on June 7th, 2004 and complete on June 18th, 2004. VIE Healthcare will be holding meetings with interested organizations in May 2004. Please call our offices to schedule a meeting of interest at 732-530-2121.

We have been receiving a tremendous amount of interest in this research study and look to present the findings to the National Committee for Quality Health Care, National Institute for Health Care Management Foundation and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

VIE Healthcare is excited to be conducting this study, publishing the findings and creating a model for future duplication and growth in the field of innovation and creativity in healthcare.
